Dr Sarah Stella - Chiropractor
Hello,
I’m so excited to be joining the team at Greensborough Family Chiropractic. I have been a chiropractor for 17 years, it’s a profession that I feel honoured to be a part of. I learned of the chiropractic philosophy as a 15-year-old when a friend who was studying chiropractic at the time explained to me that the central nervous system is intrinsically and intricately connected to every function in the body and how chiropractic adjustments enhance the body’s innate ability to self heal and regulate and therefore improve how the body functions. It was a light bulb moment that I remember clearly. I subsequently booked myself in to see my local chiropractor the following week and, as they say, the rest is history.
The premise Eat Well, Think Well, Move Well, informs how I practice and my own lifestyle. I believe acknowledging and addressing these three aspects is the key to achieving great health. I’m passionate about continuing education and post graduate studies to stay informed and providing an integrative approach to care.
My chiropractic journey has taken me across Australia and Europe. It was working in the Netherlands that I discovered the sacro-occipital technique (SOT). It is a gentle and innovative technique that aims to create balance in the musculoskeletal, visceral, cranial and nervous systems. This technique forms the basis of my practice.
I am a mum to two boys, 3 and 5 years old and absolutely love watching them grow, learn and play. My husband and I love spending time with them in nature, camping and hiking. I love gardening and sharing my passion for growing productive gardens and sustainable living. Prior to having children, we travelled through Europe and spent a year in Sicily working on organic farms and learning the principles of biodynamic farming. It was truly an eye-opening experience and deepened my love of nature and appreciation of how connected to the earth we are. One of my absolute favourite things about chiropractic is that it is not only gentle and effective at restoring health but it is also gentle on the planet as it requires only two skilled hands…
I’m looking forward to meeting you all soon.
Sarah
