CORE STRENGTH EXERCISES FOR FLAT TUMMY AND GREAT ABS
Most women and men obsess over having a great set of Abs or even a six pack, however the results often tend to be short lived. One of the main reasons is that often times we tend to exercise the Abs but not the groups of core muscles. The core muscles of the belly and back area includes:
The deepest abdominal muscle or Transverse Abdominis (TVA) which wraps around the spine for protection and stability.
The External Obliques muscle around waist on the sides and front of the abdomen. The fibres run in the same direction as the extended fingers when one has ones hands in their side pockets.
The Internal Obliques which lie under the external obliques and it’s fibres run in the opposite direction to the external oblique muscle.
The Rectus Abdominis Muscle or six pack, a long muscles that extends along the front of the abdomen.
The Erector Spinae muscles which extend along the back from the neck to the lower back are also important part of core strength.
Having strong core muscles of the back and abdomen is critical for a body that is strong, well balanced and great looking. A common side effect of weak or un-balanced core muscles is poor posture and back pain.
