Dr Robyn Leeder has been in practice for over 20 years and established Greensborough Family Chiropractic in 1997. She is a highly experienced Chiropractor who has also successfully completed post graduate studies in Chiropractic Neuro-Rehabilitation (Carrick Institute for Graduate Studies USA - course). Dr Robyn is a member of the Chiropractic Association Australia (CAA), a Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Neurology Board (DACNB)(USA), a member of International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA)(USA).
In considering whether to seek care from us please take into account the following: In Australia Chiropractic is primarily for the treatment of spine and musculoskeletal conditions. In Australia there are no specialities in Chiropractic. Dr Robyn is not a medical neurologist.
Whilst our chiropractors have done various post graduate studies and post graduate training and may hold registrations for studies recognised in other countries e.g. USA, they do not have any specialist status for those post grad studies in Australia. Your decision to seek care should not be based solely on info shared on this website and the info videos. Please do other research and do talk to your medical Dr or medical specialist.
Chiropractic Neuro-rehabilitation is a holistic functional health care approach to nervous system disorders. My emphasis is on your physiology, how your nervous system works and how it all connects. Chiropractic Neurorehabilitation is also known in the USA as functional neurology.
Since she can remember, Dr Robyn has always been very passionate about health. She says:
“Being as healthy as you can in every sense enables us to live life to its fullest potential. I have seen so many patients who cannot do what they want to do because of less than optimum health. Life is meant to be lived and I want to help people be their best to do that! I just want to empower and inspire my community to live a vitalistic life and reach their full potential by removing interference from their nervous system, help balance and optimise function by providing up to date natural health and wellbeing education specific to each patients requirements."
So that I may understand even more how our body’s function, this lead me to successfully complete (over 2.5 years) post-graduate clinical neuroscience study, also known as Functional Neurology (20 modules) in USA, through the Carrick Institute for graduate studies (USA) and to on a regular basis (i.e. each year) do training or modules in Chiropractic Neurology so as to maintain and improve knowledge in chiropractic neuro-rehabilitation. Dr Robyn is a diplomate of the prestigious American Chiropractic Neurology Board. Dr Robyn's qualifications and memberships include the following BAppSc, BCSc, DACNB (USA), FAAFN, MCAA, as well as various other specific courses. Please note in Australia there are no registered specialities in Chiropractic.
I also have a very keen interest in women’s health, pregnancy and paediatric care , seeing many mums during their pregnancy and it is a joy to see their precious babies later. My patients and their children have received help with a wide range of issues.
Dr Robyn Leeder is also Webster Technique Certified and has also completed postgraduate courses in Paediatric Care.
The Webster Technique is a specific chiropractic sacral analysis and diversified adjustment. It is a useful technique in the chiropractic care of pregnant woman. The goal of the adjustment is to reduce the effects of sacral subluxation / SI joint dysfunction. This diversified adjustment and work on muscles and ligaments may facilitate biomechanical function in the pelvis. If you would like more information on Webster technique you could check icpa4kids.com (USA).
Dr Robyn is passionate about chiro neuro-rehab, which provides a drug free alternative for functional neurological issues. Chiropractic Neuro Rehabilitation is a clinical neuroscience working on the brain and nervous system with the concept of neuroplasticity. The practitioner assesses the integration of neuronal pools (groups of nerve cells) for function and fatigue. This management involves treatment in the consultation room, as well as brain based exercises at home. This is periodically reviewed and done in collaboration with patients and other support family members. We are happy with your permission, to provide findings and progress to your medical doctor or specialist.
Dr Robyn tailors her techniques to suit your needs; she is very experienced in both traditional manual and low force techniques including cranial therapy. Dr Robyn's other interests in health includes Nutrition.
